Who we are
Solo Method is a financial planning tool for solo business owners, operated by DetroitGirlFriday, based in Michigan, USA.
Information we collect
Business name, revenue tier, tax percentages, and budget allocations you enter into the app. On the free plan this is stored only in your own browser and is never sent to us. If you subscribe to Pro, we collect your email address and payment information is processed by Stripe.
Bank account connections
Pro users may connect a bank account through Plaid. We receive read-only access to account balances and transaction data. We never receive your banking login credentials, and we cannot move, transfer, or withdraw money from your accounts. Plaid's own privacy policy governs their handling of your credentials.
How we use your information
To calculate your allocations, generate alerts and insights, process your subscription, and provide support.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal or financial information. We do not share it with advertisers.
Third-party services we use
Stripe (payment processing), Plaid (bank connections), Base44 (application hosting).
Data retention and deletion
You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing us. Disconnecting your bank connection stops all further data access immediately.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, request corrections, or request deletion.
Children's privacy
This service is not intended for anyone under 18.
